ASTENE organises conferences biannually to allow for a coming together of those with an interest in early travel and early travellers in Egypt and the Near East. These conferences are popular events, attracting attendees from around the world and the society disseminates the research presented at these gatherings by publishing a selection of the papers after each conference.
